charming stay!

friendly staffwell cooked mealscomfortable bed
The friendly staff and locals created a cute atmosphere. dinner included a good range of pub meals. They were well cooked. the team presented them nicely, and they were well organized. the bed was very comfortable. I slept well apart from the green light.
the children's bangers and mash used smash instead of potatoes. my son didn't eat it, and there wasn't a different offer. i found that disappointing.

hospitable staffcomfortable roomfunctional facilities
the location suited my travel needs. eathan and rae, working behind the bar, were very hospitable. both the evening meal and breakfast were quite good. the value was fair for the price. the room offered ample comfort. i found all the facilities clean and fully functional.
the mash served with the children's bangers was smash not potato. my son declined to eat it. staff confirmed this substitution, offering no alternative.
Dining

I found the food lovely. We enjoyed bruschetta, chicken tikka masala, and burgers as two couples, and the quality was good. the service from imogen, a young lady, was amazing. prosecco was available for only £20.
Location

the location proved convenient, being on the x20 bus route. it was also one mile away from the start of the northumbria coastal path. this allowed easy access to transportation and the walking trail.
Rooms

Adequate Stay, Some Issues

lovely foodgenerator noisegreasy breakfast
The food was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala.
The noise from what sounded like a generator was quite disturbing. I also found the breakfast disappointing. The coffee was strong and cold. The cooked breakfast was greasy, too.
