a peaceful victorian gem

nice roomlovely gestureeasy communicationcomfy bed
the room was nicely decorated i appreciated the small marshmallows that came with the hot chocolate it was like a tender gesture. communication was easy with the owner via text messages and they quickly responded when i extended my stay. the house has great character and our room had a picnic hamper with tea coffee and wine glasses. the bed was really comfy and the bathroom was huge with a basket of toiletries provided.
the shower was dangerously hot with no way of turning it down which caused me a moment of concern.
Facilities
9/10
shared bathrooms have plenty of shampoo shower gel and other toiletries available for use. the room contains a tv with netflix included which makes for cosy viewing. a metro station is close for simple travel.

Good Location, Some Issues

perfect locationcomfy bedfriendly hostpoorly signed
The location was perfect for travel into Newcastle though the parking was expensive. The bed was comfy, and I got a great night's sleep. The host was friendly and the location was quiet during the week.
I found the hotel difficult to find, and it was poorly signed! Communication could have been much better, though.
Service
9/10
The owner provided helpful service. Check-in was easy with available free parking! The host was very friendly, too.
Location
8/10
The hotel is located close to shops and the metro. This location provided easy access to public transport, including routes into Newcastle. There are also several supermarkets and shops nearby.
Dining
8/10
Breakfast service was not available . This was surprising as the hotel generally offers bed and breakfast, though.
