Excellent Location and Friendly Staff
friendly staff great location excellent bar
I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the main Flinders Street train station. The location is also near many main attractions. The bar was excellent too!!!
The air conditioning in my room was not working. It was quite warm outside, nearly 30 degrees.

There were multiple interesting lounge areas throughout the building. These spaces really showcase the building's historic past. I enjoyed the unique atmosphere they created.

small dark room broken lights
The Edwardian room i booked lacked a window. i could not open one or see outside. the pictures online showed doors opening to a balcony. This proved misleading. the room felt small and dark with curtains always closed, and two lights were broken.

charmed by the grand architecture
amazing location lovely building
The location is superb. the building is lovely. I loved the historic architecture. the staff helped us when our driver cancelled, and we almost missed our flight. They were supportive! we got there just in time. I was so relieved.
The room was quite small, and there was a complete lack of drawers. there weren't enough hangers for my clothes. it made unpacking difficult. I felt disorganized.

train station clean room comfortable bed range of foods
I appreciated the hotel's proximity to the train station it made travel simple. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a good range of foods available to start the day well.

Acceptable location, some issues during stay
dirty glasses small room
the hotel's location was good and convenient for getting around.
i encountered issues . the lack of a luggage rack forced me to keep my suitcase on the floor. dirty bathroom glasses were also disappointing and detracted from the experience

Excellent hotel with great character
right facilities reduced rate
This hotel had character and all the right facilities. The location was great on Flinders Street. It was near the train station and the tennis courts. Carparking was available next door at a reduced rate.
The room cleanliness overall was just ok. It seemed like a quick job. The back of the entry door looked repulsive when the afternoon sun shone on it. The lack of service when we reported a faulty door card was unsatisfactory.
