Excellent Cotswold Stopover

The breakfast was nice. It offered fresh yogurt along with many berries. I liked bread as well. The dinner was really good and the pies are wonderful. Mash potato was almost as good as mine, this is a great compliment. The staff was helpful and polite. I especially appreciated the staff greeting customers always with a smile at the front door and bar. The room was fully stocked with toiletries and refreshments. The bed was great.
The firedoor bedroom doors on the ground floor corridor needed to be quieter when closing. The noise affected several guests at night.

constant slamming
The noise was annoying. doors slammed constantly. I could hear every word of conversations below me (i was like i got less sleep than i do at home with my kids!). the doors need immediate changing because they are so loud and disruptive.

the staff was friendly and helpful (especially the waitress ashleigh). i seemed like nothing was too much trouble for them. the hotel has a large bar and restaurant providing plenty of space to relax in the evening.
the room lacked hair conditioner, but this was a very minor issue.

the breakfast offered a buffet alongside a menu with various choices. the coffee was excellent, a wonderful way to start the day. the evening meals had great choices and were lovely too.

the location suited my planned trip well, offering fine views. i could easily join the cotswold way from the hotel grounds. there is a large car park which is a definite plus.
