helpful staff breakfast buffet gym equipment
The staff was wonderful. Beatrice at the thorn tree restaurant greeted me warmly each day. the breakfast buffet had a live omelet bar and local dishes (especially good!). i was surprised by the amount of equipment in the gym.

spacious room ample desk attentive staff positive vibe
My stanley club room was spacious and well-lit. i appreciated the ample desk space. It allowed me to work comfortably. the staff in the public areas were attentive and helpful. the atmosphere throughout the hotel felt positive.
the gym felt a bit small.

the hotel sits right in the city center, which i found convenient. i felt secure walking around the area, even amidst the busy streets. this central spot made it easy to access various business destinations.

maple syrup happy hour dodgy wifi old plumbing
The buffet breakfast was superb, I especially liked real maple syrup for the pancakes. There is also a happy hour every day in the executive lounge with great drinks and good appetizers.
Our room's plumbing harked back to the 1960s! The wifi was dodgy, it kept dropping.
