acceptable stay, minor issues

different layout used soap
breakfast was good.
The hotel did not fully meet expectations as the website showed something different. the downstairs layout had changed, and there was no dedicated bar area. It was just an honesty bar trolley. the bathroom cleanliness could have been better. I found a used soap tablet in the shower soap dish, it was strange and off-putting.

lovely spot friendly staff
The staff was friendly and cute. The hotel sits on a lovely spot and the views are amazing. Our family room was comfortable and it had everything we needed. I found the hotel quiet, and it is easy to visit other parts of North Devon.
The floorboards leading into the bathroom felt uneven. This made you lose your footing.
