dated bathroom weak shower pressure
I must say, the experience had a couple of significant drawbacks. firstly, the bathroom was quite dated. the shower pressure was far too weak. secondly, the room lacked adequate soundproofing. Noise from adjacent rooms and hallway traffic disturbed my sleep.

friendly staff good selection tasty meal poorly lit path metal staircase outdoor walk
The staff were friendly and helpful. I found this very reassuring. the breakfast had a good selection of items. dinner in the restaurant was lovely, with good service and tasty meals.
My room was quite far from the main building. it was not ideal because of the poorly lit path. We had to walk outdoors in the rain. also, a wet and slippery metal staircase was very dangerous

a pleasant stay at this hotel
friendly staff ample choice canalside path cozy space
i found the staff friendly. breakfast provided ample choice. the garden offers nice walks leading to canalside paths. the lounge has a log fire, it made the space cozy. i liked it a lot.
i found the corridor from the manor house to the annex bedrooms needs some work. the carpet was tired. the decor was also tired. i hope they fix it soon.
