the hotel food impressed me with large portions during both breakfast and dinner!
The barman wasn't really communicative. He didn't offer a glass with my bottled water, which i found a little odd.

the grounds were very well maintained i noticed the gardeners working diligently each morning the hotel had a classic period feel with a log fire in the lounge it was very inviting. i found the staff particularly helpful they promptly addressed any requests. the hotel's location was central making it easy to explore the area. i appreciated the ample parking available on site it removed any stress related to finding a space.
the room was a bit far from reception it required walking a bit more than expected

the reception staff was consistently responsive to requests i had i noticed they were quick to offer help with directions i was also impressed by the promptness of room service requests being fulfilled

breakfast included a selection of pastries fresh fruit and hot dishes i chose the full english breakfast it was hearty. the restaurant offered a diverse menu with both traditional and modern dishes it also had an extensive wine list.

the hotel included a well kept garden area with seating to relax the garden also offered lovely views of the surrounding area. there was complimentary wifi available throughout the hotel it worked well.

The room was NOT in the main building. A large brown stain disfigured the shower corner. I cleaned it myself.
