Fantastic Stay with Stellar Service!
fantastic location modern amenities fresh croissants friendly staff
This hotel boasts a fantastic location near local shops. The rooms offer modern amenities like a coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast each morning included fresh croissants and local jam. I found the staff attentive. They were very friendly and eager to offer suggestions for local activities.
The elevator was slightly slow. I needed to be patient when using it.

average experience. some issues noticed
stuffy room scruffy common areas
the staff were friendly at breakfast and the service was fast.
our room was not great, the windows barely opened. it felt stuffy and uncomfortable. also, the common areas seemed a bit scruffy and could use some updates.

poor breakfast selection overflowing gutter
The location was fine, I had a view of the harbor. The room itself was adequately sized.
I encountered issues . The breakfast selection seemed basic, and I felt the quality was underwhelming considering what I paid. On the second night, I was disturbed by the sound of water outside my window. It seemed like a blocked gutter was overflowing. I did mention it the next day, but they seemed unconcerned about fixing it .

poor selection coffee machine
the heating wasn't working upon my arrival and i needed to call reception to get it turned on. it was a bit of a hassle. the tea and coffee selection in the room was quite poor (it felt rather cheap). there wasn't enough for the second morning and when i asked for more, i received a bag of coffee requiring a coffee machine, which i didn't have access to. this meant no tea or coffee the next morning. no clean cups were provided. such a letdown, really.

a somewhat inconsistent stay
harbour view great breakfast inconsistent staff arguing problem
i had the monkey island room. the view overlooking the harbour was great, i liked the furniture too. the breakfast was also 5-star, it was really good.
the staff aren't bad, but i think they could be better. i paid for a bottle of wine and had to argue. it took five minutes for them to see that i bought a bottle and not just a glass.
