Lovely Stay with Great Amenities

The room was spacious and well-equipped. I enjoyed the complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee facilities provided. The hotel boasts log fires that create a warm atmosphere. The portions were generous, presentation was amazing, and the taste was really good.
The hotel did not have very clear signage at first, tricky to find initially.

The hotel has free parking, made arrival very easy. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. The hotel provided a quiet lounge on the first floor, so I could unwind after a long day.

I found food to be off the charts in taste. There were comfortable areas for dining in the hotel. The menu selection was excellent. I found many delicious options.

The staff were attentive . Nothing was too much trouble. Carol and Gary were fabulous hosts. I would certainly stay here again.

slightly underwhelmed
strange smellexcessive noise
The room smelled quite strange upon arrival. i suspect it was due to the proximity to the kitchen. It was somewhat reminiscent of stale vegetables. additionally, the noise level was excessive, particularly at night. it sounded as if a party was happening below, with music thumping until around 10pm. the thin walls did not help matters, and i could hear conversations from the adjacent room quite clearly.

the staff seemed friendly and provided good service. the location was great. the rooms were clean and felt comfy.
the bathroom offered no privacy. the door was like a wardrobe door providing no sound isolation. i found the food very disappointing. the breakfast was basic with just toasted bread and a small amount of scrambled egg.
