superb location friendly staff delicious breakfast unclean room high bar price unexpected dessert
the location was superb. the staff were really friendly. the breakfast tasted delicious (i especially liked the croissants).
my room wasn't cleaned properly one day. i found the bar prices a bit high. the dessert i ordered was not what i expected, to be honest.

shocking price small glass
the beautifully decorated rooms were super clean.
the bar prices were shocking , i was charged £10 for a g&t. some friends paid £17 each for a small glass of wine. i think i will not return.

really good stay near the castle
spacious room claw foot bath enormous shower homemade cookies
i enjoyed the spacious st cuthbert's cave room. it had a claw foot bath. the bathroom also featured an enormous shower. fresh homemade cookies were a nice touch.
my only minor issue was that the bar prices seemed a little high.

The beautifully designed interior incorporated really good touches. I noticed the thoughtful decor in all common areas. the hotel is located a short walk from the castle entrance. this made sightseeing very easy.

Breakfast offered a great choice, and the bistro was excellent. fresh milk was provided in the room. also, complimentary cookies were replenished daily. I thought it was a lovely touch.

the king room was very comfortable, clean, and well-kept. luxury finishings were noticeable throughout. the bed was super comfortable, contributing to a relaxing stay. fresh milk and cookies were a great addition.

The hotel is situated on a quiet street, a stone's throw from the castle. the location is excellent. The excellent castle entrance is very close. i loved the fine walks on the doorstep

fresh flowers lovely cookies
I found fresh flowers all around the hotel. Homemade cookies were also a nice touch. The decor had thoughtful details and the artwork was well considered. and i really liked the lounge area.
The bed was just ok.
