adequate, but with disappointments
nonexistent wifidisinterested staff
the hotel advertised wifi and i booked specifically because of that.. it was nonexistent and i had to drive thirty minutes to find a connection. the staff, except for the initial receptionist, seemed unhappy and disinterested in providing service. food arrived almost carelessly, and the breakfast area had dirty dishes and a lack of essential items like coffee.

calm outsidewelcome basketbuilding works
The shepherd's hut was tastefully decorated. good facilities were available. the peaceful area next to the babbling brook were a great treat. The trees offered some shade. the welcome basket with tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits was a nice touch.
electricity shut off indefinitely during the work. i had no shower, no tv, and no coffee!

The enclosed garden is ideal. It is secure for dogs. the hotel has neat grassy areas for outdoor enjoyment. the location by the stream adds to the relaxing atmosphere.

The room included central heating. the shower was very powerful. there was a log fire and a tv also. Bringing an extra bag of logs is a good idea to keep the fire topped up.
