Solid stay in town

helpful staffearly luggage
The staff was friendly and helpful . They allowed me to leave my luggage early prior to checkin. When I returned later, my bags were already in my room.
On arrival at 5.40pm I was informed at check in that the bar downstairs would have music playing until 2am. The lady stated that she had emailed me. I didn't recall receiving this information. Upon checking my emails when getting to the room, an email was sent to inform almost at the same time we were checking in. It was now 6pm on a Saturday night, we had no time to look for accommodation elsewhere as we had a taxi coming to collect us in 30mintues. When leaving the hotel juke box music was playing, not an issue, and we assumed it would be the same later on. How wrong were we. When we returned to the hotel at 11.45 the music was so loud there was no way we were going to sleep. it was karaoke until 2am. Once the music stopped we all slept very well. Creaky floor boards and doors every foot step was heard. It was impossible to sleep. Shame because the location is perfect. For this reason we won't return. I would like to add I am in my early 40s and am not a party pooper.

mixed feelings About this stay

hotel itemsbad internetineffective heating
the room was clean and ALL the usual hotel items like towels and coffee were available.
the internet access proved BAD and the heating system wasn't effective at warming the room. this meant i couldn't complete my work and the room felt cold, even with the heating turned ALL the way up. it was frustrating Because it impacted both my ability to work and my comfort .
