pathetic fishdark building
The fish i ordered was, well, let's just say it was nice for all the wrong reasons, a pathetic sliver of dried-up fish hiding in a slab of concrete batter. it went back faster than it arrived. No real apology either. also, the building didn't match the photos. It felt smaller and darker than i expected. the staff struggled with a coke order. twice.

Decent Stay, Some Minor Issues

The room provided ample space. The bed was comfortable. A bathtub in the room was certainly a plus. There was plenty of hot water to fill the tub too. The food at the pub was very good. The allergen advice on the menu was accurate.
Dogs in an adjoining room barked until 9 pm. I wanted a second coffee during breakfast, but the staff member was very busy. He was the only one working and running around, so I did not ask. I have stayed here before, and this visit was not quite the same.

excellent experience

the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. all staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. the food was cooked freshly and tasted excellent. plenty of parking spaces were available.
the main pub was quite cold in the evenings , so i had to ask a couple of times for the heating to be put on.

the staff was very attentive and available at all times. they quickly addressed our requests and showed genuine care for our needs. everyone was professional and polite.
