breakfast selection quality food helpful staff
The breakfast selection offered many options. The food I had in the evenings was of good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The car park felt a little tight when trying to manoeuvre my car.

charming stay
family atmosphere good breakfast
i found the family-run atmosphere quite cute. the staff seemed genuinely happy to assist with any requests. breakfast was really good and filling, it definitely set me up for the day and i really enjoyed the haggis.
the shower was quite small, and i did struggle to adjust the temperature easily. the chipped floor tiles in the bathroom also need attention, i nearly tripped.

The inn included a pub, and a restaurant! this made it easy to relax and not worry about finding somewhere to eat. The building retains many original features. the inn is set in a historic building.

lovely stay INN
easy access friendly manager large room bus stop
I found this place VERY well located, a short distance to a bus stop. It gave EASY access to edinburgh and near the popular Rosslyn Chapel. My room was large. The manager was helpful and he was friendly too.
The hotel is showing signs of AGE and could use A fresh coat of paint in some areas.

The restaurant SERVED a good choice of food, very tasty and it was excellent. Breakfast included a full breakfast and I recommend this option. Service was always attentive and friendly.

The inn HAS great transport links and a bus stop. It is located right outside the hotel for city centre access. Rosslyn Chapel IS only a short stroll from the building, very convenient for sightseeing.

THIS beautiful building has masses of character. The room included ALL basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were helpful and friendly.

a decent stay
convenient location good breakfast street parking outdated bathroom paint patch greasy sandwich
the location is really convenient with a bus stop directly outside. a bus goes straight to the city center. the breakfast was also quite good with a nice selection of vegan options. there was plenty of on-street parking available near the building too.
the bathroom looked a bit outdated when compared to the rest of the room. i noticed some paint patches that needed attention. the bathroom shelf also needed some fixing. a sausage and egg sandwich i ordered turned out a bit too greasy.

delicious breakfast friendly staff poor food tasteless vegetables
The breakfast was delicious and generous. Everything was freshly made. the staff was friendly too. the room was comfortable. i found the scottish breakfast excellent. It was just what i needed to start my day right.
The food cost too much. my chicken pie advertised haggis, but i couldn't find even a hint of it. the vegetables tasted like they came straight from the microwave. They were limp and tasteless.

poor water pressure bright charging light
I must report several issues. the hot water took an unacceptable amount of time to appear in the shower, about five minutes, and the water pressure was notably poor. the green charging light from the emergency light in the room was far too bright. It functioned as a permanent night light. this made sleeping difficult. Such oversights are irritating.

outdated fixtures uncomfortable temperature
The location was good. It was a short walk to the chapel. the room itself, a standard double room, was well-kept initially. however, the bathroom seemed neglected with outdated fixtures. the temperature in the room never became comfortable despite reporting the issue multiple times. It remained quite cold.
