The staff was genuinely helpful, addressing all my questions promptly. I had access to a direct, cheap bus route into the city center. The room was very clean. I appreciated that very much. I found the building to be quaint and unusual.
The on-site parking was unavailable, BUT a free public car park was a short walk away.

The room was located on the top floor. It was very quiet after the kitchen closed. The king-size bed was HUGE. The bathroom seemed brand new or very well looked after. The room had windows that open. This was a bonus.

The welcome was indeed friendly and professional. My upgraded superking room featured an comfortable bed. I found the hot shower to be lovely. The inclusion of windows that open was a bonus. The "grab and go" breakfast suited me perfectly.
The room was quite noisy in the evenings. This was not ideal. I found workers were shouting and clattering in the kitchen until around 10pm.

The hotel provided safe, free parking nearby. It was very convenient next to the Co-op, and that provided easy access for supplies. There is a beautiful garden present with facilities for children, I noted.
