the location rocks, its super close to everything. breakfast was awesome too with gluten-free options, i thought it was grand. staff was proper friendly and proper helpful, i gotta say. i look forward to be staying again soon.
the room was very small when you put suitcases in it! the biggest thing was the noise, oh my days. i did'nt manage to get any sleeps with all the traffic and people shoutin' out, it was awful it really was.

great location, friendly staff

helpful staff lovely breakfast central venue
i found the staff to be lovely and very helpful. they told me all about the facilities and how to get around (it's quite a place!). breakfast was lovely too. i had eggs benedict, fresh coffee, juice, and cereal.
the street noise was noticeable with the window open (as expected in a city centre).
Service
9/10
The staff were really nice. They greeted me well and provided information about pub facilities. one assistant manager even were really nice, taking down a blind from her own room for my bathroom. (now that's service!).
Rooms
8/10
my double room was comfortable and warm. the room overlooked the back parking lot, a nice convenience as i could keep an eye on my car. a well maintained room, if i may say so.
Facilities
9/10
there is free parking at the back of the premises. i found it large enough to accommodate a bigger van, which i could see from my room. this feature provided added peace of mind.
Location
10/10
the location is close to the city centre and shops. it's a short walk to the shambles and york minister. the tour bus route runs nearby too. (very convenient!).
Dining
9/10
The breakfast was tasty and well-cooked. the pub grub was also good. The house speciality pies were excellent. there is a great little pizza house on the corner, useful after hours.
