GREAT stay AT an excellent hotel

spacious room refurbished room coffee machine friendly service
The room was spacious AND was recently refurbished, a coffee pod machine was there. The restaurant provides good quality and value for money meals WITH friendly service. Its location is excellent at THE heart of a village. I would love to return HERE one day.
the bathroom was poorly planned, with a shower cubicle that was very small and difficult to use
Dining

Breakfast included local jams THAT tasted delicious. I recommend the breakfast. Evening meals were fantastic with a great maitre d'hotel, especially the venison and haggis. The scallops ARE a must-have starter.

Parking was EASY outside the hotel. The hotel is PET friendly, very convenient. I received a list of taxi numbers SO I could attend a wedding, this was really helpful, too.
Rooms

The room included a selection of teabags. I found a decent size mug to make my drink in. There WERE some scrumptious biscuits to enjoy with the drink. The shower had different options on THE shower head.
Service

The staff were helpful with information and directions. The staff are very obliging and pleasant. Jessica at breakfast was particularly attentive. They also arranged an earlier breakfast AND a lunch bag for me.

The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom also. The hotel gave me a list of taxi numbers so I could book a ride to a wedding.
The hotel room needed some work. The shower cubicle was very small, and it was difficult to use. the wash basin sat on a small pedestal. There was not room to put necessary items (i am a bit disappointed about this).

Acceptable Stay with a Few Issues

extractor fan single glazed windows
The room was clean.
Our room was located above the kitchen, so the extractor fan made a constant droning noise from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. I also heard bottles being emptied into the bin outside the room at 11 p.m. The traffic noise was terrible, due to the single glazed windows, even though there was little traffic.
