lovely characteropen firefriendly staffgood food
the building displayed lovely character throughout i relaxed by the open fire each evening the food offered was very good and the staff were genuinely friendly the experience felt wonderfully complete i loved how much character the hotel maintained even with modern touches. i especially enjoyed the log fires they were so inviting. i also appreciated the nice restaurant it had such good food. it really made our evenings special
the room felt a bit dated i ran a bath using only the hot tap but the water only got lukewarm i gave up on a long soak after ten minutes as the water was tepid by then
