the room i stayed in, a double room, was very clean. the bathroom had plenty of hot water. i ordered my evening meal through room service and it came hot and on time.

I found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The facilities were great with comfy lounges with open log fires. The location on Dartmoor provided plenty of walks. The dog was welcomed upon arrival.

The carpark signs weren't clear, I found it not easy to understand them.

The bed was comfy and allowed me to sleep soundly.

The disabled parking spots were occupied by cars without blue badges. I told the receptionist, but she seemed unsurprised. There were dog droppings all over the car park and a lack of bins, despite the hotel being dog-friendly.

The room felt quite dated, i noticed peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. also, the shower temperature was inconsistent. it fluctuated between hot and cold. It made showering unpleasant. the noise from the hallway was also quite loud. It disrupted my sleep a bit.
