The staff was notably friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is quite convenient, close to both the beach and other attractions. I found newspapers and maps available, which aided my exploration of the surrounding area. The hotel welcomes dogs, so it is a good choice for pet owners.
The menu was not to my taste, but the chef was very accomodating.

the bedroom was light and VERY clean. i also found freebies in the fridge such as prosecco.
the dinner was disappointing, it was poor and almost inedible.

the food was great. i especially liked the fruit cake provided with the cheese course during dinner. the staff were fabulous, including the receptionist who was both warm and efficient. all requests were met with a smile.
the room i stayed in was small. the description does state 'snug'. but it really is small.

the hotel boasts an excellent location. i could easily walk to both the sea and holkham hall. the setting felt opulent, which i appreciated .
