the hotel had a beautiful decor and a quirky charm that surprised me. the staff were very friendly to every need i had. breakfast offered a great selection of fresh fruit and pastries. i found many hot food choices from the set menu.
the wi-fi connection was patchy, but i barely noticed it as i was swept away by the beauty of everything else.

the hotel benefits from a great location for local walks, it's so convenient! the village itself is very nice, though the hotel offers so much, i barely wanted to leave the premises, still i appreciated its surroundings.

The hotel offers a convenient complimentary shuttle to the Cleveland Way trail. A very kind employee even dried our hiking gear in the boiler room. The restaurant provided high-quality meals after days of standard pub fare. Breakfast had many choices.
i noticed a slight lack of two-seater tables in the bar area, mainly catering to larger groups.

friendly staffcozy bedsclinical bar
the staff was super friendly, and caroline even gave us a tour. the breakfast was delicious with lovely views. i especially liked the cozy beds and the amazing shower in my room.
the bar area felt a bit too clinical for my taste , and it lacked charm. i wish there were more tables for two people.

My room was not properly cleaned. There was hair in the bathroom. the breakfast service felt restricted. the overall interior felt dark and dated, i found that disappointing.
