Excellent stay, great food

tender meatattentive staffsuper clean room
I enjoyed the beef chilli spring rolls and chicken wings. Roast beef, lamb and turkey were tender, accompanied by potatoes and stuffing. pavlova and cheesecake were great after that, the excellent food and service was highly appréciated.
The portions at breakfast were quite small. The staff chatted instead of assisting.

lovely stay with excellent food

warm welcomelarge roomexcellent foodmismatched decor
i arrived a bit early but received a warm welcome and stored my bags behind the reception. i was then directed to the bar. i enjoyed a quick drink then received notification when my room was prepared. i had booked dinner and found the food to be excellent. the service was very good.
during my stay, the room decor seemed a bit mismatched, not in an intentional way. it felt dated, like something from the 90s. i believe a modern touch would enhance the overall experience.
Service
9/10
the staff arranged a family event quickly. the service was great, friendly and fast. nothing looked a problem for them and they accommodated our family needs with care.
Location
9/10
this hotel is close to kilbroney forest park and local eateries. the location also provides access to several pubs. i found its position convenient for local exploration and dining.

Lovely stay by the lough

lough viewfriendly staffbeach suiteearly closure
The restaurant had beautiful views across the lough. Staff were very friendly. They went out of their way to help us. Our suite overlooked the beach. It was amazing. The bed was very cosy there.
The bouncers did not allow us back after midnight during the blues festival. We had only stepped out for a few minutes. Our friends were still inside. This closure felt too early during such a significant event.
Service
9/10
The staff were helpful and accommodating. They promptly sorted daily room requests. The team seemed to anticipate our needs, everything felt seamless, and their friendly demeanor certainly.

mixed feelings about this stay

the location was quite good. it was right on the sea promenade.
The decor felt a bit dated. it reminded me of it was stuck in the 90s. The bathroom definitely needed an update with the bath panel coming off. also, i am not short but still could not fit under the shower head..
