the breakfast included many options and was great. the swimming pool layout extended all around the hotel. i appreciated the proximity to shopping and evening strolls with various dining choices. it was also convenient to the sand dune area nearby.
the hotel room was dark. this made shaving difficult.

Decent stay, but some issues

The food was good and there was plenty of variety. That met my expectations.
I found the rooms very dark. I struggled to see into the safe. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I had to ask for a kettle. The cleaner kept taking the cups away. It was like I was a naughty child.

baobab bliss!

huge showerlazy rivervegetarian options
the huge shower and bath were amazing after long days. i swam in many pools, including the lazy river. the breakfast had so many vegetarian options, it was fantastic! it all.
The lighting in the rooms was not great. The main area felt a bit dark, though.

the pools are great, with one big one for entertainment and a smaller one. there seemed to be fewer sunbeds than were needed around the smaller pool. space got a little tight when staff needed to clean.

The staff were generally friendly and helpful. They accommodated our disabled mother with an adapted room. dining services were really helpful too. the staff deserve recognition for providing super service throughout the hotel.

i enjoyed the food at the akara restaurant a lot. the service was excellent. the prawn and coconut curry was very good, so was the lamb main. don't forget a cocktail at the richard burton bar next door!

the hotel boasts several beautiful pool areas. the gardens have flourishing vegetation. i found the staff to be hospitable and warmly cute.
the hotel rooms felt a bit outdated to me. they seemed quite dark. the bathrooms were also a bit inconvenient and lacked a bidet.
