Mixed feelings about this hotel
overcrowded pools budget spot
The gym had quality equipment, and it was accessible 24/7.
The adult-only pool was tiny. Main pools were overcrowded and loud. It felt more like a budget, all-inclusive family spot with a premium price tag.

relaxing tenerife getaway
expansive grounds sun loungers water jets easy access
the hotel grounds are expansive! finding sun loungers was never difficult, even during peak hours. my room included a bathtub with water jets. breakfast offered cava. the hotel provided easy access to nearby attractions via bus to los cristianos.
the gym equipment needs an upgrade.

the hotel has seven swimming pools, with two pools heated at the breeze and royal level areas. there are excellent sporting facilities including tennis courts, pool tables, and table tennis. i used the barcelo app to book restaurant reservations.

the hotel staff are very attentive, and work to ensure guests have an excellent holiday. daily cleaning of rooms ensures high standards of cleanliness are maintained. the breakfast team were great. christmas day was amazing with great fun in the sun.

the hotel is situated in a quieter area of south tenerife, which allows. a ten minute taxi ride provides quick airport access. the hotel is also near two eighteen hole golf courses. there were no issues with noise from planes.

heated pool beachfront walk
I stayed in a suite for three nights. The heated pool was a highlight, along with easy access to the wooden beachfront walk. (The architecture blended so nicely into the surroundings!).

minor issues detract from the stay
repetitive food wristband policy
the pools were a highlight, especially the heated one.
i was pretty frustrated. the buffet food was repetitive. during my 6-night stay, the hotel did not offer a single opportunity to book an à la carte restaurant without extra charge. the check-out experience was the opposite of check-in (disappointing), as they cut off our wristbands at 12 pm, even though our flight was later that day (it seemed like they didn't want us there anymore).

modern room spacious room separate shower cold pool high wind speeds many flies
The room was modern and spacious. It had a separate shower and bath. There were two handbasins in the bathroom too.
The pools were very cold. This was due to the windy weather. I have never experienced such high wind speeds while lying on a sunbed. Flies were shocking both outside and in the restaurant, all over the food. I have never known anything like it.
