nice breakfast and comfy
good choice extra pillows ground floor
i found breakfast a nice experience with good choices. the bed i slept on was very large. extra pillows were available if i needed them. a receptionist offered to change my room to a ground floor, this saved me from carrying heavy cases up the stairs.
i found no hot water one morning when i wanted a shower. the staff seemed abrupt at check-in and not very friendly.

the hotel is close to the train station, it is great. quick transport to the town center is possible. access to transportation is very convenient near the hotel.

cotton bed sheets ample towels
the room had crisp white cotton bed sheets. ample towels were available. the check-in process occurred promptly at 2 pm. the room also remained cool, which i appreciated after my travels.
i requested well-done bacon during breakfast, but it arrived undercooked. my husband ordered a steak medium rare, and it was overdone. both of us left most of our food.

clean bedroom coffee facility
The bedroom was very clean. It offered a comfortable bed. The bathroom included a shower over the bath. Tea and coffee making facilities were available.
There was constant noise from banging doors because my room was near a door.

false advertising burger offer
The room was excellent.. it had everything I needed and it was very clean.
I visited the bar and saw good, hard-working staff. the menu advertised a burger BOGOF offer for Thursdays. It was not the Thursday I was in, yet it was buy one get one. The food was okay. I ordered a mixed grill and a cheeseburger. I consider this false advertising.

spacious room comfortable bed free parking
i booked a double room and it was quite spacious. the bed was comfortable, i slept well. the hotel provided tea and coffee. shower gel, useful. the free parking was a great amenity, very convenient.
the spare pillows in my room had a layer of dust on them. i couldn't use them because of that, it was disappointing.

the hotel has easy parking right outside the premises. it is a short walk to the racecourse. this location made it easy to attend the races and then quickly return to the hotel.

dusty pillows unmanned desk
the room was a reasonable size, the bed was comfortable. the service was quite good.
Spare pillows had dust on them, so i could not use them. the bathroom was not very clean. I expected better. it also took a while for someone to let us in because the desk was unmanned, this was not ideal
