Mixed experience, Some positives, some negatives
weak coffee dirty windows
I found some aspects disappointing. The breakfast coffee was REALLY weak. It tasted like watered-down instant coffee. I also noticed the bedroom windows needed cleaning, impacting the view. These details diminished the overall quality for me.

superb seaside STAY
convenient location quiet garden renovated spa real milk
I appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. it is within an easy walk to the town centre. The meticulously maintained garden at the rear provided a quiet retreat. The newly renovated spa facilities at the sister hotel next door offered additional relaxation options. I enjoyed the access. The hotel provided real milk in the bedroom fridge.
the PARKING situation was less than ideal, especially given the hotel's BUSY season.

The staff helped me with all i needed! the room included a beautiful balcony facing the sea. food choices were really lovely. I had so many options every day. all staff members were friendly.
the bedroom became quite warm even after turning off the radiators, and opening the window only helped a little.

the location is excellent for local walks! the hotel's gardens provide a great starting point. connaught gardens is a must-see, and touring is easy from here. bicton park botanical gardens are worth a visit, and are nearby!

Breakfast offered excellent options! i enjoyed poached haddock and a poached egg on two mornings. i also had a plain omelette with bacon. All were delicious. the portions were generous. The presentation was perfect every time!

a wonderful visit
food variety walk-in shower regular visits
the hotel always looks after guests very well. the food variety suited me (i am a picky eater). the room decoration included a walk-in shower. i have visited this hotel regularly for meals and short stays during the past 25 years.
i noticed that the windows in the bedroom needed cleaning. it slightly affected my view. i hope this is addressed soon.

cramped space outdated carpets
The room was reasonably nice. The shower was acceptable.
The size of my room was a problem. I had booked a superior room, yet I found the space rather cramped. I also did expect air conditioning, but the room lacked it. The decor felt somewhat old, especially the outdated carpets.

i secured a double room inland view. the room includes individual climate control, this was very convenient. i appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities available in the room.
the bathroom did not feature a walk-in shower, i would have preferred this.
