lovely renovated room
cosy feelhelpful staff
the decor had a cosy feel and a recent refurbishment improved it. the staff members were very helpful and friendly. the food at dinner exceeded my expectations.

The bar service included two barmen, jack and archie, who handled service always with a smile. i recommend trying their little lodge gin and vodka. It was very nice. i will go next time for sure.

the room was quite comfortable. i found the breakfast to be very nice and satisfying. ample parking was available right next to my room, very convenient.
my request for a ground floor room was unfortunately ignored. the room setup was initially for one person, so i had to request an extra set of amenities. the decor seemed somewhat dated to me.

A balanced stay experience

The location worked well for exploring the surrounding area. The bar restaurant area was comfortable (a nice spot to relax). Staff members were attentive. I also found the food quite tasty.
My room was situated next to a walk-through area, so people passed by the window frequently. This meant I had to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. Noise levels were high, as the cleaners' supply cupboards seemed to be right opposite my door.
