repetitive selection carpet stains
I was excited about the afternoon tea, but the selection of cakes and sandwiches felt repetitive. The service, though attentive initially, waned as the tea went on. It became difficult to get a refill. The room had a pleasant appearance. I found some stains on the carpet (near the seating area) that detracted from the overall cleanliness. the advertised free breakfast was not included and required an extra charge.

excellent stay!
suite upgrade luxurious bed
I received a suite upgrade. It was a very kind gesture from the staff. the bed felt luxurious and pillows were great. the location was also great. A short walk got me to the station.
the front of the building had scaffolding covering it. this detracted from the aesthetic upon arrival.

The hotel is situated in a convenient neighbourhood. It is close to transport links. the area is quiet, despite its central positioning. the underground and buses are just down the road. Cafes and pubs are plentiful.

the hotel restaurant has pleasant decor. afternoon tea includes a big selection of tasty sandwiches. warm scones and plenty of sweet treats are also available. endless tea and coffee is offered, a plus.

my bathroom had good lighting. it included a separate bath and a shower cubicle. there was enough of everything including towels and bathroom products. a jet bath tub was also available for use.

afternoon tea delicious portions tasty cakes pretty room exterior painting uncomfortable beds sagged beds no bar
the afternoon tea was delicious. portions were generous and i liked the cakes. the hotel was beautifully decorated and the room for the tea was pretty.
I received an email informing me the hotel was covered in scaffolding because of exterior painting. the twin beds sagged in the middle. They were very uncomfortable. there was no bar, though they served drinks in the foyer if i could find someone to serve me.
