disappointing value due to closures
interesting tourwing closurestaff apology
the tour proved very interesting.
Upon arrival, i learned that two wings were closed due to fumigation. staff apologized for not informing me before my visit. the wing was very quiet, and it reminded me of i was the only guest there. The champagne bar was closed too.

the hotel boasts a beautifully executed conversion creating a cute atmosphere. our double room provided ample space and included a superb bathroom. i appreciated the freestanding bathtub and walk-in shower. the breakfast selection was quite good and included options for everyone.
i arrived early intending to take the museum tour but faced some issues. the receptionist did not explain the tour payment properly requiring multiple trips back and forth. i found a dirty teapot in the hotel room which i cleaned myself before i could use it. the champagne bar was understaffed resulting in long waits for drinks.

Really good Historical Stay

The bedroom provided excellent comfort with a very comfortable bed and a large space. Quality furniture also stood out. The bathroom included nice extras like dressing gowns, shower products, and quality towels. I found the complimentary fridge items appealing, and breakfast included plenty of choice.
I found a small wine and a pint of lager priced at £17, a bit high.

The staff throughout the hotel showed excellent service and proved very attentive . They really made a difference. Good parking was available just outside the hotel which was VERY useful.

Breakfast presented great choices, catering to various tastes with excellent preparation. The chapel dining room provided a magnificent setting for meals. I found the atmosphere unique and nice. The food was AMAZING!!!
