charming gardens and helpful staff, though dinner needs work

The gardens were a real delight, i loved my walks down to the estuary. food on the terrace was a nice way to spend the evening, a very welcome experience. the staff helped me greatly with my luggage. It saved me a lot of effort.

Breakfast was plentiful with great choice. Many options are available. i did notice a limited selection on the bar menu after 6 pm, it's a little sparse. the food on the terrace, on the other hand, provided a good atmosphere.

the grounds were fine with maintained walks to the passage. some walks involves more challenging terrain, it is good to know before you explore. it was well worth the effort to see the river spots.

reception, the cleaning staff and restaurant staff were friendly. the staff helped with the luggage, very convenient. they were accomodating too, so professional and always available.

i was excited about the spa. it was quite tired. the pool tiles had black dirt and the carpet around the pool was mouldy. the hot tub had broken pieces of plastic around it!!!

The grounds were really beautiful! I enjoyed the walks through the gardens. The location is very peaceful. Breakfast was very good with many options. I liked the yoghurt and fresh fruit. The cooked haddock with poached egg and avocado was amazing.

The swimming pool needed more attention. The floors were dirty in spa area. Some kids jumped in and out of the pool! The sauna was small. The dated decor and the missing relaxation area were disappointing. I felt a lack of cleanliness.
