frayed curtainslifting floor
The beer I had ordered for my husband was not in the room upon arrival. It looked later, outside our door with the luggage, completely ruining the surprise. the room seemed dated and did not reflect the high price I paid. I noticed frayed curtains and the bathroom floor looked to be lifting. These issues are not acceptable.

staff were attentive during breakfast. The full cumbrian was recommendable and generous. My room was cleaned well each day, including the bathroom. It was Nice to have on-site parking, made exploring the area easier.
The shower had inconsistent pressure. Hot water was intermittent, switching from good to poor unexpectedly.

A large beer garden is on the premises. It provides amazing views. The hotel also offers takeout snacks such as fruit and oat bars for hikes. The hotel allows dogs.

Breakfast service was quick and had a great selection. The bar area is comfortable and offers a great atmosphere. I found food delicious and reasonably priced. I appreciated the use of local produce at breakfast.

slightly underwhelming, given the price
missing beer bucketdisappointing room
the promised bucket of beer didn't materialize as a surprise. i had to ask for it, and they left it outside the door with our bags. the room wasn't quite what i expected from the pictures. it felt overpriced for the actual quality.

ruined surpriseexpensive room
i booked a bucket of beer to surprise my husband, but it wasn't in the room when we arrived. i had to ask for it, and they left it outside our door with the luggage. the surprise was ruined and i was really disappointed. also the room was not as classy as i expected from the pictures. it was expensive for what it offered. bathroom was not clean and there was hairs in the bath.
