high laundry bill missing price list
the laundry service surprised me. i sent some clothes, expecting prices like other hotels. they didn't gave a price list when i dropped the bag. the laundry bill was 140 euros! that is highway robbery and no price list in the closet. i felt very taken advantage and this is disappointing.

spacious rooms tasty salads
The rooms were spacious. I enjoyed the included light dinner that featured tasty salads (I especially liked the potato salad!).
The TV channel selection was rather limited.

bad coffee serious oversight
The room was like a sauna with no way to cool it down the lack of air conditioning was a serious oversight. Also the included dinner was underwhelming more like prison food ironically. The coffee at breakfast was undrinkable I would rather drink ditch water.

stale air soft bed
the air in the entire hotel, including the room, felt terribly stale. i struggled to breathe at night. the windows do not open, and the air conditioning barely functioned. i expect windows that open in a hotel that respects resources. also, the bed was too soft. it gave me back pain, so getting out of bed in the morning became painful.

charming stay
larger rooms afternoon fika delicious choice
the rooms were larger than expected, perhaps three old prison cells combined. i found the afternoon fika a real treat. breakfast was excellent, with so much delicious choice.

the hotel sits in the katajanokka neighborhood near the harbor. this district has a wonderful jugendstil design. i appreciated the closeness to many transport links.
