The location is near the Valley Bridge and easily walkable to the beach and harbour. It is very convenient for exploring local attractions. I also liked the gentle incline, made walking much easier!

The staff were very attentive. A special mention to jack, the waiter, for his excellent service and smart appearance! the bed in my room was comfortable. the hotel's reception and bar staff were also really nice. the room was adequate, although a mini fridge would have been a bonus.
i noticed that a more thorough dusting in some of the less accessible corners of my room would improve the cleanliness further.

the standard twin room was tidy. the bathroom was modern. the staff were attentive during meals, we had everything we needed. the free street parking (i got a disc from reception) was also useful, saving on parking fees.
the room got a little cold because the heating wasn't on all the time (only at certain times), so it took a while to warm up.

the location was good, near the South Cliff top. the double bedroom had all facilities, VERY clean.
the mattress was TOO firm for me. i spoke to the person on reception and requested a mattress topper, unfortunately i didn't receive one. first impression of the hotel wasn't GREAT as the designated smoking area is next to the entrance.
