poster bed narrow hallway castle stay
i stayed in a themed double room four poster bed and it was so cool! the red four poster bed really made the room pop. the bathroom was down a little hallway, what fun! the whole experience felt super special.

historic charm and excellent service
orangery dinner excellent service extensive options wide range
I had dinner in the orangery and the food was excellent. the service was also spot on, i especially appreciated kim. we had drinks in the bar, it was quiet, but the service was good and there was a wide range of drinks. the breakfast was excellent. The cooked options were extensive and of top quality.
the hotel decor looks a little tired in the bedroom and bar area though the building's history more than makes up for it.

The spa offers treatments wanting relaxation. a library is available. It has a secret door and an open fireplace. grounds surrounding the hotel are suitable for walks.

This authentic castle offers a unique experience. My room, a themed DOUBLE room FOUR poster BED, was wonderful. I especially liked the dungeon restaurant, where i dined.

A Truly Enchanting Getaway!
unique experience excellent food kind chef helpful concierge
The building itself radiated history. It was a unique experience. The food was AMAZING!!! I especially enjoyed the Dungeon Restaurant. The chef kindly adjusted the menu to accommodate my preferences, a detail I really appreciated. The concierge was very helpful.
I noticed a small stain on the carpet in one corner of the room. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The reception staff were lovely and cute upon arrival. I felt immediately at ease. Waiting staff exhibited the highest standards of professionalism. Their attention to detail ensured a wonderful experience. The team worked hard to provide excellent support.

The spa was a highlight. I found it both relaxing and rejuvenating. The grounds were extensive and beautiful, perfect for a tranquil walk in the fresh air. I especially loved the architecture of the castle.

lovely grounds falconry experience knowledgeable handlers miserable staff long wait atrocious noise
The grounds are lovely. The falconry experience was amazing. The handlers cared for the birds and shared their knowledge.
The bar staff were unhelpful and miserable. I waited a long time for drinks. I was offered strawberry Prosecco. IT DOES NOT EXIST. The staff smashed bottles instead of placing them into the bin. The noise was atrocious.
