the location was great. it was an easy five minute walk to the town centre. arrival and departure were easy too. free car parking was available.
the room was generally fine and clean, but it was really dusty in places. it just needed a proper deep clean. the obvious things were fine, but it could have been better. the tv came on by itself in the morning.

decent stay overall

helpful host breakfast options poached eggs dust around discolored lino finger marks
colin was quite helpful upon arrival. he gave us good tips about the area. the breakfast options were fairly diverse. i ordered poached eggs on toast, and they were prepared well.
i found some dust around the room. the lino near the edges looked discolored. i also noticed some finger marks on the doors. the shower base needed a more thorough cleaning.

dirty porch worn furnishings
The off-street parking was useful to me.
The entrance porch needed cleaning. There was dust everywhere. The noise from the macerator at night was terrible. I also found that the soft furnishings needed attention. They looked worn.

Wonderful Stay!

helpful host breakfast menu central location
Colin is a very helpful host. He gave restaurant recommendations. Breakfast offered a menu to fill out the night before, I think this is super (I really liked this system!). The central location made exploring easy, and the town center was just a short walk.
I noticed a small stain on the carpet in the hallway, it didn't really bother me.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast included options that were easy to select with the menu. The breakfast choices include a hearty cooked breakfast, alongside lighter options such as cereal and fruit. The dining area was clean and well kept each morning.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel offers parking. There is information about the surrounding area. The building provides a cute atmosphere, upgraded with the host's attentive care (he really makes the difference!).
Location
10/10
The location is central, providing easy access to town center shops. It is close to the train station. It is also convenient for exploring various regional attractions, near to major road links.
Rooms
9/10
The room included comfortable bedding and a television. I appreciated the cleanliness. The space felt private. The room also featured blackout curtains, which ensured a good night's sleep.
