Wonderful Coastal Getaway
excellent proximity easy drive many walks superb view
The location provides great access to Urr Water and the Solway Firth. I appreciated the many walks right from the doorstep. An easy drive allowed visits to many other attractions. The water view from my bedroom was superb.
The building shows some signs of age, a minor drawback.

The breakfast was good , with a choice of several options. I had fish and chips , and it came with a tasty fresh salad. The batter on the fish was crispy , and the fish itself was very fresh.

weak shower outdated decor
The shower was awful, just a pathetic dribble (i've seen garden hoses with more oomph). i also noticed the decor reminded me of stepping back into the '80s. the parking was also a nightmare. I circled the area for ages before finding a spot blocks away. it was hardly the relaxing start i wanted.

nice visit
friendly staff scottish option
i found the breakfast really good. it included a full cooked scottish option alongside yoghurt and cereal. the staff demonstrated great friendliness and were helpful regarding my dietary preferences.

perfect breakfast friendly staff peaceful atmosphere small bedroom old furniture dark corridor
the breakfast was perfect. the staff excelled in knowing their clients! the atmosphere felt peaceful. the food was also delicious.
the bedroom was very small with old furniture and a bathroom suite. the corridors leading to the bedrooms were dark and dismal. they needed a coat of paint.

helpful staff generous portions beautiful setup small bedroom old furniture dismal corridor
The staff assisted with decorating a room for our birthday lunch. Everything was set up beautifully. The food was generous with portions (I liked the fish and chips).
The bedroom was quite small. The furniture and bathroom suite seemed old. Corridors leading to the bedrooms looked dismal and needed painting.

loaded fries superb staff
The food was fantastic. I can recommend the steak loaded fries. It was superb. All of their staff deserves a big shout out. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The building looks a little tired.
