carpet stainsworn furniture
The room was not quite what I expected. It lacked a certain polish. I found some stains on the carpet. The furniture also looked a bit worn. Dinner was a letdown. The starters were bland and the salad seemed past its prime. The service felt slow. I had to ask about my meal after waiting nearly an hour.

comfortable bedrestful sleep
the superior double room was spacious. the bed was very comfortable and ensured a restful sleep (i almost didn't want to leave it!).
the television remote had slightly worn buttons.
