friendly staff helpful staff stocked continental table tasty english breakfast steep stairs numerous charges bad taste
The hotel is well maintained and characterful!!! The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with the welcome guide to facilities. The air-conditioning was superb during the heat wave. Breakfast included a well-stocked continental table plus tasty English breakfast cooked to order.
The stairs to my room were steep. Better handrails would help a lot. There were numerous small gratuity charges added to the bill. I had to ask for them to be removed, and that left a bad taste.

stuffy room loud ventilation
The room felt stuffy since I couldn't open the windows. This was frustrating. Our room also sat right next to a loud ventilation system, so sleep was difficult! I hoped for better from this kind of hotel.

Paying extra for parking irritated me, especially given the limited number of spaces available. The breakfast was also disappointing, especially considering the additional charge. My poached eggs were closer to soft-boiled than runny.
