Underwhelming Stay at a Historic Venue

The gardens were indeed beautiful and offered a tranquil setting.
The room felt quite dated, lacking USB sockets. This is a considerable oversight nowadays. Food quality was also quite disappointing. The artichoke starter was undercooked and bland.

The hotel gardens had a big area. I walked within the hotel. The restaurant food tasted excellent. I tried the Fanhams burger and the peanut and chocolate parfait. They were delicious.
My room looked very tired. The bed was placed in an alcove, so accessibility was difficult. I am seventy-eight. The shower spouts on the side did not work efficiently, so I used the overhead shower.

The gardens were beautiful. staff were friendly. the shower was amazing. bar prices were reasonable.
the small room lacked temperature control, so it was very hot. it wasn't clear my room was in a modern block attached to the house.

i stayed for a wedding on june 23rd, 2024 and the hotel facilities were lovely. my wisteria room was gorgeous and the bed felt so comfortable. the in-room amenities were excellent, and i wouldn't hesitate to return. the staff was lovely and breakfast tasted delicious this morning.
i was appalled to see the state of the grounds at a recent wedding, a bit sad. the japanese gardens paths needed raking and weeding.
