Underwhelming Stay
acceptable locationlower ground roomfaulty alarm
The location is acceptable for accessing nearby museums.
My room was on the lower ground floor near the fire exit. Staff started loading goods through that door at nearly midnight. The noise was considerable and sleep became impossible. The fire alarm then went off at 4:45 AM and it was quite a fright. The hotel claimed the alarm was faulty but offered no real explanation. I found that answer insufficient.

the staff was polite and helpful.
the shower had very poor water pressure and was not hot. stains were present on the pillow cases and the area rug. this was disappointing, especially after a long day.

excellent stay near gloucester road
perfect locationwarm welcomeequipped kitchenette
the location is perfect with convenient access to gloucester road tube station. i found shops cafes and a waitrose nearby. the hotel staff provided a warm welcome at reception. the duplex room i stayed in featured a well-equipped kitchenette and comfortable sofa.
the view from my room consisted of brick walls and air conditioning units it was disappointing

the room featured a comfortable bed complete with pillows and bedding. there was also a dining area i used for meals. the bathroom had luxurious l'occitaine toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels.

the hotel is close to the royal albert hall providing easy access to concerts. direct tube lines provided access to covent garden for shopping and theater. i also visited the tower of london utilizing the convenient tube access.
