wonderful shepherds hut experience
relaxing hut friendly driver tasty food
We received an upgrade to a shepherds hut before our arrival. It was so good. the hut felt relaxing and homely. we also visited the spa, which wasn't overcrowded, and later enjoyed a takeaway delivered by a friendly on-site driver, the food tasted delicious and it was cooked very well.
the car park near our one bedroom cottage was quite muddy, so we had to carry our suitcases. it was only a minor inconvenience.

We had breakfast at gillies. It offered a wonderful food selection. i was fully satisfied. the staff members were also very pleasant and attentive. I found them quite helpful.

i stayed in a two bedroom cottage it was perfect for our group the christmas tree was a very nice touch food was delivered to the cottage it arrived hot and was beautifully presented i appreciated the attention to detail
i noticed there were no hooks for the dressing gowns in our private tub area so we put them on the wooden burner i found this a bit inconvenient

the hotel's location provides access to scenic spots glenariff forest the giant's causeway and the northwest coast are all easily accessible the hotel is situated near a river with a lovely flower park

super clean cottage tidy cottage christmas tree faulty phone unavailable wifi faulty tv remote
we stayed in a two bedroom cottage it was super clean and tidy a christmas tree was in the sitting room it was a lovely touch we had food delivered to the cottage it was beautifully presented hot and tasty.
the room phone did not work wifi was unavailable the tv remote was faulty i tried to phone i was on hold for 30 minutes with no answer while still in the room problems were reported to staff but no action was taken.

Acceptable but Overpriced
inefficient process stained carpet
The spa facilities are extensive and provide many options for relaxation.
The check-in process was inefficient I waited in line for nearly 30 minutes. The room showed wear and tear with noticeable stains on the carpet it diminished the overall experience.

The room had a lovely outdoor bath and a firepit. The complimentary mini bar included blankets for keeping warm outside too.
The hot buffet is reached via a long walk through swinging double doors. The food was rubbery and cold at breakfast in Gillies.
