beautiful twin room high-quality ingredients helpful staff
i stayed in the hotel's beautiful double or twin room for four nights and found it very clean. the food was excellent with fresh, high-quality ingredients evident in every dish. all hotel staff were friendly and helpful making the experience particularly nice.

really good STAY
fine grounds well kept gardens tranquil atmosphere
the grounds were fine. i found well-kept gardens and the terrace offered amazing views. just outside the town, provided a tranquil atmosphere. ample secure parking was AVAILABLE.
i found that the shower pressure was somewhat inconsistent , , made showering less enjoyable.

the restaurant offers amazing views alongside its food , and desserts were particularly noteworthy. i noted that there IS high-class dining in the covey , and i observed it is possible to have pizza in the bar.

wonderful experience
comfortable lounge lovely gardens lake district
The evening meal and breakfast were very good. The gardens were lovely. The lounge was comfortable. I was met with great views of the lake district from many vantage points.
The mattress was too hard so i did not sleep well, and the pillows were hard too.

Staff provided efficient and friendly service. The reception desk was staffed by a very friendly and helpful lady. This level of attention enhanced the overall experience, and it left a lasting positive impression.

Our room was super clean and cozy for our stay. The room size was adequate, it allowed us to relax without feeling cramped. Furnishings were tasteful, they complemented the room decor and added to the overall comfort and enjoyment.

underwhelming stay, sadly
slow pressure shower issue
the shower situation was quite a letdown after hiking near Keswick all day. i heard the showers would be fixed in about thirty minutes, but it took over an hour. there was still no water pressure, and i could not wash my hair. it was new year's eve, and i could not go out due to the shower issue.

Amazing Experience!
fine views outdoor seating english breakfast helpful staff
The location offered fine views and expansive outdoor seating , perfect for relaxation. The full English breakfast was delicious and not too overwhelming, which I really liked. All staff members were polite and helpful. I found some lovely personal touches throughout my room .
I noticed the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak in certain areas of the garden , , made it difficult to work outside.

nonexistent water pressure slow water pressure
The staff were kind, making sure I had everything I needed.
I was very disappointed with the shower situation. After hiking, I learned the showers were temporarily out of order. It should have been fixed in 30 minutes. I waited over an hour. The receptionist said the showers were fixed, but the water pressure was nonexistent. A bath was suggested, but that pressure was also slow. It trickled out water and it wasn't warm enough.

friendly staff efficient service delicious food cold room temperature issue common areas
the staff were very friendly. they were also efficient with all requests i made. the food was delicious and beautifully served, i appreciated that.
our room was well appointed. however, it was quite cold . this temperature issue affected many of the common areas in the hotel.
