a decent stay
friendly staff spacious room rear courtyard limited menu overcooked scampi no breakfast
the staff was friendly. i really liked the spacious room. there was a convenient rear courtyard, it had parking spaces.
the menu listed items not available. the choices left were mostly fried options. the scampi i ordered was overcooked. there was no breakfast available.

poor evacuation dietary requirements
The fire alarm woke me up at 6:45 AM. There were no staff present overnight, so the fire evacuation felt disorganized. I ordered food, then they told me 15 minutes later that it was unavailable. My meal finally arrived after an hour, and it did not meet my dietary requirements.

tapas selection cheese balls room cleaning missing information
I often eat three tapas. This includes one for starter and two for mains with fries. I had great cheese balls dressed imaginatively. I also had light tempura prawns with yummy spicy dip.
My room was not cleaned on my second day. The website clearly states DAILY housekeeping though. I was informed they clean only every two days. This information WASN'T on the website!

historic charm and great scampi
generous portion good value enjoyable experience
i had a very nice meal this evening, i ordered scampi and chips. it arrived hot and the presentation was very good and the portion size was generous. i counted twelve scampi, i was very pleased. overall the meal was good value for the cost, it was an enjoyable experience.
