good size bathtub slow service bread availability
The room was a good size with a bathtub in the bathroom. Free parking spaces were available. I found them spacious enough for my car.
The service seemed slow to me. It was a bit busy. Staff sometimes reached across us. I asked for bread, but they said they had run out. That was surprising to hear.

great stay indeed

homemade shortbread varied breakfast strong coffee professional staff
afternoon tea was nice. the homemade shortbread was tasty. the room was clean. breakfast had many choices and very strong coffee, that i like a lot. the staff are professional and showed me the room and even carried one of my bags for me.
the curtains did not block light and affected sleep some. i think a blackout lining is needed.

high prices inadequate quantity
The food prices felt steep for what I received. I ordered the seafood platter. It promised much, BUT the actual dish was underwhelming. The prawns were not good, and the overall quantity felt inadequate for the price. The manager seemed defensive when I raised these issues. This was quite frustrating.

good air conditioning bedside table molton brown product
The room had good air conditioning. This was appreciated during my summer stay. My 'Superior Queen Room' had two bedside tables and lamps. The provided toiletries were Molton Brown products.
The bathroom mirror did not have integrated lighting.

poor presentation uninspired bread
i must say, the chicken liver parfait was a major letdown. its presentation lacked any finesse. it looked like someone had just dumped it onto the plate. the crusty bread accompaniment was a basic, toasted slice of wholemeal, uninspired. the whole experience makes you question some decisions.
