Authentic stay near Omicho Market

The hotel location was ideal (near the fish market and other sights). I left shopping bags with coffee beans in the lobby, the staff found them, it was really excellent. Breakfast offered local specialities, there was something for every taste. Free ramen was available at night and free ice cream and Yakult followed the hot bath.

The staff was amazing and helpful, and they speak English well. The staff were willing to send medications to me I had forgotten. The hotel offers timed bonuses, such as probiotic drinks in the morning (which i appreciated).

the breakfast had many choices and good quality food. the location is near major sightseeing sites. shopping malls and many restaurants are also nearby.
The automated check-in system took too long. Speaking to a person would have been faster. i paid for an onsen hotel, but i could not use the facilities because i have tattoos. it felt unfair that this was not communicated clearly beforehand. i found this policy antiquated.

I LOVED the buffet breakfast with fresh sashimi and prawn tempura! Free matcha, coffee, Yakult, and ice blocks were available. Late-night free ramen after 9:30 PM was a good treat. The staff were SO helpful. The room was clean and spacious.
The windows were quite thin, and I continuously heard the crosswalk beeping sound. It disrupted the quiet atmosphere I wanted.

Really good Japanese Hospitality

the check-in process utilized automated systems. these systems were slower than human interaction, even for checkout. also, i discovered upon arrival that tattoos prohibit onsen use. i find this policy outdated and disappointing, especially since i specifically chose this hotel for its onsen facilities.
