the breakfast offered local ingredients, it was superb. easy access was a plus. parking was also very convenient.
my room was 'compact', i found it a bit uncomfortable. dyson cool fan did little for the hot nights. the streets did not feel safe at night, there was shouting.

i noticed the restaurant tables for two were positioned closely. this reduced the sense of privacy during conversations.

the dining terrace overlooks the pier and river, a very nice feature. i found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout my visit. the thoughtful sensor lights in the bathroom were a good touch during nighttime visits. i appreciated the private off road parking available.

the hotel sits right on the quay and provides wonderful views. i enjoyed proximity to the sea and local ferry, this made exploring easy. the early victorian building itself is handsome.
