a cozy stay

ample space allocated parking
the room was quite spacious with attractive fittings. i especially liked the separate dressing table with a mirror above ,very convenient. the hotel even provided an allocated parking spot right in front of the room.
i encountered a minor issue . despite asking for a specific short spirit and mixer twice , i received half a pint of coke with a spirit in it. it was a bit frustrating that the request wasn't corrected.

fantastic stay near the abbey

attractive fittings allocated parking
the room had attractive fittings with plenty of wardrobe space. tea and coffee facilities had everything i needed and the dressing table had a separate mirror. i also appreciated having an allocated parking spot right in front of the extension block.
i did notice that the pub was quite busy as a walk-in. reserving tables seemed to be prioritized for diners, so perhaps more space for casual visitors could improve things.

overcooked crumpets tasteless coffee
The room had a spacious wardrobe and provided the usual facilities.
The breakfast experience was subpar. The crumpets were overcooked and tough. I think they microwaved the croissant. The coffee lacked any discernible taste even though the staff presented cappuccinos perfectly.

Really good Hotel Experience!

comfortable bed excellent shower friendly staff convenient location
The room was fantastic. It featured a comfortable bed perfect for restful sleep. I especially enjoyed the excellent rainfall shower after a long day (it felt great!). The staff were friendly and always ready to assist with any requests. The hotel's location was super convenient to explore local attractions.
The sourdough bread at breakfast was a bit too chewy for my liking.
Dining
8/10
The restaurant offers a plant-based burger option for those with dietary preferences. The breakfast service involves ordering specific items rather than a self-serve buffet. This system can feel less relaxed because you must ask for each item individually, undoubtedly a way to minimize food waste.
Location
10/10
The hotel provides convenient access to the Abbey Gardens, a short walk across the road. This proximity makes it easy to explore the gardens, aviary, and historical abbey. Market Hill, shops, and restaurants are also within easy walking distance.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel has rooms with air conditioning, a great feature for comfort. Rooms feature underfloor heating in the bathroom. Parking is available directly outside the rooms, which are in converted barns.
Service
9/10
The staff members were helpful and quick to respond to requests (Adam, the manager, was particularly helpful!). Check-in and check-out procedures were seamless and efficient. The hotel staff created a cute atmosphere for all guests.
