my wife and i celebrated our anniversary here. the hotel is set among tranquil fields. it is convenient to travel to from london. the outdoor pool and jacuzzi at the spa were amazing. the staff were friendly and helpful making it special.
the shower and tub in our room was narrow. stepping out required extra care to avoid slipping. this could be a safety issue for some guests.

The reception staff were wonderfully attentive and polite. I got all necessary information for my stay. My room was very nice and neat. The leisure facilities were first-rate! The steak I had at the restaurant was PERFECT!!!
There could have been more vegetarian options for the breakfast selection.

the room was quite dated and worn the bathroom sink was damaged. it also smelled like an old person's home which was unpleasant. i stayed for three nights the experience was disappointing especially considering the price.

the staff was friendly, a detail i always appreciate.
The room felt quite warm, even after i adjusted the radiator. It made sleeping difficult. also, the bathroom showed some signs of wear, like peeling paint around the window. It needs some attention. the signage to my room wasn't clear. I got lost a few times because of the many doors and steps.

The staff were lovely from being greeted on arrival. The room was very spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The setting is beautiful (grounds well maintained).
Getting to my room involved many doors and steps. I found this complicated with poor signage. The restaurant manager and waitress gave conflicting information. The hotel charged me extra and i had to call them to fix it.
