surprisingly grand stay
great locationtrain station
the location suited greatly my tourist plans. train station sounds were initially distracting but they stopped around 8 pm. front desk staff helped me with the heating system, its controls were confusing for a visitor.

the location was central. i could store luggage before check in. the staff was lovely, and my room was cleaned daily.
the apartment is outdated. carpets are old with stains. walls need a paint job because of color change. one bedroom door wasn't closing at all.

I arrived early, around 8am. the staff stored my luggage until check-in, which i appreciated. the location is really good. It allowed walking access to all attractions. a two-bed apartment was spacious. i appreciated the hot drinks and milk in the fridge upon arrival.
the noise from the hallway easily penetrated the door. this woke us up around 6:30 am each morning, a little frustrating.

the reception area featured a bar. there is also a rooftop garden with great views. luggage storage was available free of charge, very helpful during my early arrival. the reception is open 24/7.

milk, coffee, tea bags, and sugar were provided. the kitchen was well equipped. the bar in the reception area provided an option for drinks and relaxation. there are multiple restaurants nearby, within a short walk.

the location is in the city center, though in a quieter area. the hotel is near the train station. a bus stop for hop-on-hop-off tours is right outside the building. calton hill is just one block away.

The apartment was well-decorated and very clean. the suite i had was massive. the beds were really comfortable, and the duvet and pillows were great. The room included a tv. the windows are double-paned, which reduces outside noise at night.
